4. Coaches : are responsible for ensuring that all team members play at least half of the game.
All players must wear complete uniform, shin guards and Soccer shoes during practice and games, no exceptions.
Coaches are not permitted on the field during a game and only one referee is permitted on the field. Coaches are not allowed in the penalty area. (Parents are not permitted on the field)
All coaches are responsible for the CONDUCT/LANGUAGE of their players, parents, and spectators.
All coaches are to emphasize fair play and sportsmanship.
5. Laws of the game:
Off–sides will be enforced in the U12 group divisions and above.
Substitution Rule for all group divisions:
Players may be substituted only when the Referee has stopped play. Substitutions are unlimited.
Substitutions may be made at the following times and requires the official’s permission:
By the offensive team prior to a throw-in the team's favor;
Prior to a goal kick, by either team;
After an injury, by either team, when the Referee has stopped play;
Between periods and after a goal is scored by either team.
Certified Referees will be scheduled for all divisions.
Referees will use as a reference the FIFA laws of the game at their discretion.
Coaches may not question official’s calls during or after a game. Coaches may only give technical instruction to their players.
Substitutions for the goalkeeper may not be made on penalty kicks. The goalkeeper that was in the goal at the time of the infraction must face the penalty kick.
6. League rules:
Two registered coaches and one team parent can be on the sideline with the team. All others must sit or stand on the opposite side of the field at least 3 feet from the sideline.
Parents, Coaches, and spectators are not permitted near the goal area.
Both coaches are responsible for calling their Soccer Program Coordinator if a red card is given and a player or coach is ejected. If you have any serious concerns with the officiating you may submit them in writing to the Soccer Program Director.
7. Tournament rules:
Regular Schedule Games:
Winning Team: The team scoring the greater number of goals during a match is the winner. If both teams score an equal number of goals, or if no goals are scored, the match is drawn.
If the match is a draw there will be no overtime or penalty kicks.
Points:
Win 3 points
Draw 1 point
Lose 0 points.
NOTE: During the Tournament the MERCY LAW will take in effect during all regular schedule games. This law is as follows:
The game will be suspended when there is a 7(SEVEN) goal difference between the two teams.
The winning team will be awarded the three points and the amount of goals scored.
Championship Games:
The order of the of standing of the league will be determined by the number of points acquired during the regular schedule games.
If there is a tie of points the tie-breaker will be as follows:
First: Goal differential as follows: Goal in favor v Goal against. i.e. goals in favor 10 and goals against 7, goal differential = 3.
Second: Goal in favor. The team with the highest number of goals in favor will advance.
Third: If there is still a tie, a coin-flip will be use to determine the winner.
Once the standing of the league is determined the following will be done:
First v Second
Third v fourth and so on
In case of a tie :
Five penalty kicks will be executed. If a tie persists one penalty kick will be done by each team until one of the teams does not score a goal.
